But it is all run from a genuine Apple help bundle. It looks and works very similar to Apple's. Your app should never suggest to the user to run some other app instead. So you can easily construct a search that is going to return results from some other app. So when you search, it searches the entire help system. I'm definitely concerned with privacy and security and I support Apples work in this area, but I do need my mainstream 3rd party apps to work after OS upgrades. Seems the shoe may be on the other foot now) I remember a time when instructions for installing software from Apple said "insert DVD, click start" while PC had 4 pages of instructions and 2 pages of troubleshooting tips. (This made me laugh: Wacom website has 5 page doc how to install updated tablet driver for Sonoma! The developers say they are trying to work this out and they are waiting for Apple to release more information to them but its a slow process. (im not a programmer or developer so I dont know much about the inner workings of these things) The installer gives a 'setup failed' message because the 'older version of Affinity Photo cannot be removed'. The app developers Ive contacted say Apple is "stingy" with details involving security things. Seems that the trial version I installed and then uninstalled a while back has effed up my chances of ever installing Photo again (Windows 10 20H2, Build 19042.867). Actually Ive had some similar types of issues with long-time 3rd party apps like VLC player and my Wacom tablet(~6 months old), a few other apps too.
